I’m a huge memoir and non-fiction reader and have probably read about half of these, and I’ve added several to my TBR, thank you for this list! I would recommend “Where is the Mango Princess” by Cathy Crimmins a realistic story of a family dealing with a brain injury. Also “In Pillness and in Health” by Henrietta Ivanans an honest account of addiction and codependency. “Hollywood Park” by Mikel Jollett, born into a cult and his life to becoming a lead singer for a band and writing some poetic songs. “The Orchid Thief” by Susan Orlean, a story of beauty & obsession. (Bonus, watch the film Adaptation with Nic Cage based on the book), “Braiding SweetGrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer, a gorgeous and thought provoking book about the teachings of plants and their indigenous wisdom. “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande is about aging and death and changes your perspective.

Any nonfiction by Dani Shapiro, Ruth Reichl, Jenny Lawson, Gary Janetti, Glennon Doyle.

Truthfully I don’t read enough memoirs. Every time I do pick one up I’m blown away by how impactful and special they are
