Home recovering from surgery and I’m…
I don’t know about you but I’m great at recovering when I’m sedated or highly medicated but the slightest uptick in my general well being and I’m rearing to go. Don’t worry I’m not about to run a marathon (I can barely make it down the street) but I’m itching to do more. I can’t drive for another week so I’m currently housebound.
I’m not much of a daytime t.v. watcher so it’s been hard to sit and binge a show and because I’m not on the go my audio consumption is basically non-existent.
Nonetheless, I do have a few things that are giving me life right now. Let’s talk about them…
Currently watching
The new show on Netflix that no one can remember the name of but it’s sooooo good! Seth Cohen and Veronica Mars are giving me life and I refuse to binge it for fear that it’s all over and we won’t be getting more. Side note: I will be seeking out thoughts from Jewish viewers so if you have strong opinions and thoughts then please do share. I want to be a sensitive and aware consumer.
Loved the book and was impressed by season one so I’m giving the second season a go. These people are TOXIC!! Even juicier that Lucy and Stephen are dating in real life. I’m all caught up though and impatiently waiting for more episodes to drop.
It’s the little things
Sonic Ice
Starbucks PSL front porch deliveries
Soup from an internet friend
An espresso martini sweatshirt to match my seesters
Mom/Surgery jokes - I’m totally drippin’.
Flowers that last weeks
Door Dash gift-cards
Homemade cards
Check-ins
A shower
A quick listen
Have you heard about 831 Stories ? It’s a new modern romantic fiction company and their first book, Big Fan by Alexandra Romanoff, is out now. My sister called it a “perfect little romantic snack” and I quite agree. My only complaint is that it could have been longer.
Did you love watching Scandal? Or perhaps you’re a fan of The Idea of You by Robinne Lee. Give this a chance!
What little things are giving you life this week? Is it the cool crisp morning air? A nostalgic seasonal re-watch of Scream? Let me know in the comments.
Talk soon!

Love that little life-giving list, so simple and yet impactful! I rewatched Bewitched (the film) and it was so cute and cozy. I'm excited for spooky movies this weekend!! And I got an air popper machine so I'm eating popcorn with nutritional yeast around the clock 😂 so yummy!!
nobody wants this and tell me lies is the perfect surgery recovery combo!
