This week's basics. #2 Love for the minis!
Sharing my family's love for all things mini.
I don’t know when the things started to become available in smaller sizes but my family is here for it. What is it about something being mini or little that is so appealing? I’m still trying to figure it out but maybe I feel less guilty about consuming it? Perhaps it’s just cute and oh so tiny? Whatever it is, we hope this trend sticks around.
What would you like to see available as mini?
Cereal minis
General Mill’s is dropping minis of all its popular cereals and Honey Nut Cheerios minis are our favorite so far. We’re on our third box and it’s a hit with all four of us. I think we’ve managed to try them all - Reese’s Puffs, Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charm and Cocoa Puffs. I’d love to see the plain cheerios as a mini option so I can add them as a topping to my greek yogurt when I’m on WW.
Candy minis ranked
#1. Skittles Littles — These taste just like the bigger version and are fairly priced. I’m hoping they drop the wild berry version soon.
#2. Mini Starburst - I think I prefer the mini to the full size. They tend to be more chewy as well.
#3. Reese’s PB Cups minis - These mini’s pack a good punch.
#4. Milk chocolate M&Ms minis - I think these taste different than the regular version but my kids are a fan of the tubes of the minis. The bag is much more economical.
#5. Peanut Butter M&Ms minis - We would rather have the normal size for the full flavor effect.
#6. Hubba Bubba Mini Gum - We actually haven’t tried these yet but I’m on the lookout for them.
This concept is so basic but somehow manages to delight us. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and if you’ve hopped on the mini train.

I need to pick up some cereal minis and I agree with you on the Cheerios - that would be perfect!
Definitely the guilty part...haha
