I hope you find a reading rhythm that works for you! Summer reading can be scattered for me too:) Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your maybe reads!

I don’t pay as much attention to the amount of books I read over the summer months. I recently have become 2 books behind my GR Goal but not too upset about it. I also tend to gravitate towards romances and thrillers so trying to expand to other genres. I’m a total mood reader so we’ll see how that goes! 😊

I think I've resigned to reading less in the summer. I just wish I knew what I was in the mood for. Ha ha.

"On the other hand, you could be a parent of young children juggling their demands for yet another snack." This is the stage I'm in! I read a lot of audiobook so my reading hasn't slowed down this summer but I also have young kids who have to be watched like a hawk around water so I didn't read as much as others seem to at the beach or by the pool. I appreciate you pointing out that dichotomy.

My sisters have young kiddos and I've been there so I totally get this stage. I find it harder to hit stop and start on an audio for some reason so I reach for my kindle which doesn't mind a splash or ten of water.
