School is back in session and we’re back to basics. I really enjoy sharing a peek into my life and what I’m consuming so I plan to keep this as consistent and as basic as possible. This is something I love seeing so it’s all the more fun to share some of my recent faves as well. I hope you enjoy!

This dark fantasy romance is exactly what I was looking for reading life right now. I’m buddy reading this with my sister right now and we’re both sitting around 250 pages. It feels like new adult fiction but I have a feeling things are about to take a turn. Stay tuned!
Synopsis
Caraval meets Throne of the Fallen in this spicy dark romantasy where a necromancer needs help from a dangerous phantom to win a deadly competition, only to find their partnership puts her at risk of breaking the game's most vital rule: don't fall in love.
"PHANTASMAis the decadent feast that every romantasy lover dreams of. Dark magic, fraught danger, exhilarating trials and a simmering-hot romance abound!" --Sophie Kim, #1Sunday Timesbestselling author of theThe God and the Gumiho
When Ophelia and her sister discovers their mother brutally murdered, there is no time to grieve: Ophelia has inherited both her powerful death-driven magic and enormous debt on their home. Circumstances go from dire to deadly, however, when Ophelia's sister decides to pay off the loan by entering Phantasma--a competition where most contestants don't make it out alive and the winner is granted a single wish.
The only way to save her sister is to compete. But Phantasma is a cursed manor, with twisting corridors and lavish ballrooms, and filled with enticing demons and fatal temptations. Ophelia will need to face nine floors of challenges to win . . . if her fears don't overtake her first.
When a charming, arrogant stranger claims he can protect and guide Ophelia, she knows she shouldn't trust him. While Blackwell may not seem dangerous, appearances can be deceptive. But with her sister's life on the line, Ophelia can't afford to turn him away. She just needs to ignore the overwhelming, dark attraction drawing them closer and closer together.
Because in Phantasma, the only thing deadlier than losing the game is losing your heart . . .
Things I Bought and Love
I was FINALLY able to pull out a long sleeved shirt for my morning walk this weekend. YAY!! It’s that time of year where I have to change twice a day. Cool in the am and still warm in the evenings. Texas y’all.
I bought this Waffle Knit Top in purple a month ago when it was on sale and it’s currently 20% off. I’m not always a fan of the waffle knit but this purple color, v-neck and long sleeves having me wanting to buy more. See how it looks on me in the collage above.
For sizing: I bought a large and love the oversized fit.
What I watched
My husband and I binged Owning Manhattan on Netflix this weekend and no regrets. This is a great blend of NY real estate with a side of drama. I’m pumped it got picked up for a second season. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait too long.
What’s trending (in my feeds)
Cucumber anyone? Logan went viral with his cucumber recipes and now I’m craving cucumber on the daily but also worried someone is going to slice off their fingers on a mandoline. It’s not such a bad thing when you’re trying to eat healthier but I refuse to spend money on MSG. I can just add salt, right?
Have you made a Logan cucumber salad yet? Tell me your favorite.
I hope some of these basics are new to you. Circle back if you too are being targeting by cucumber salad recipes, in the mood for dark romance or binging anything good on tv.
Until next time.

Obsessed with cucumber salad, so glad it’s getting some hype hehe.
I only caught the first episode of Owning Manhattan (I’m terrible with shows!) but that highest apartment ever was freaky!!
I also binged Owning Manhattan this summer! I watched Ryan Serhant for years in MDL NY, but u enjoyed the drama with his associates in this series.
